Description

Rooted to Rise: Biblical Homesteading & Nature Co-op

Rooted to Rise is a mentorship-based farm school at Restoration Ranch designed to move students from "Identification" to "Fellowship" through the hands-on study of God’s creation. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered environment where practical life skills and spiritual transformation go hand-in-hand.

The Three Pillars of Development

Our "Ranch Standard" curriculum focuses on three core areas of growth:

  • Agricultural Stewardship: Hands-on food production and livestock care.

  • Heritage Trades: Character building through woodworking and biblical craftsmanship.

  • Wilderness Mastery: Resilience and peace found through forest ecology and survival skills.

The Mentorship Model

Students progress through three tiers based on experience rather than age:

  1. The Seeker (Beginner): Introduction to tools, animals, and the "Road to Restore" framework.

  2. The Steward (Intermediate): Taking ownership of ranch tasks and growing in responsibility.

  3. The Trail Guide (Expert): Advanced skill mastery and mentoring the next generation.

Through our Skills Badge system, students earn tangible markers of their progress, reinforcing excellence in both technical skill and biblical authority.

"Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him." — Colossians 2:7

Frequently Asked Questions
How are students grouped in the program?

Unlike traditional schools, we group students by experience level rather than age to facilitate a mentorship environment. This "Road to Restore" framework includes:

  • The Seeker: Beginners focused on basic safety and an introduction to tools and animals.

  • The Steward: Intermediate students taking ownership of Ranch tasks and growing in their knowledge.

  • The Trail Guide: Advanced students and adult experts who mentor others and practice leadership.

What will my child be learning?

Our curriculum is built on three "Ranch Standard" pillars:

  • Agricultural Stewardship: Soil preparation, seed planting, and daily animal husbandry.

  • Heritage Trades: Introduction to hand tools and shop safety, progressing to complex joinery and Ranch builds.

  • Wilderness Mastery: Forest navigation, fire-starting, shelter building, and foraging.

How do students track their progress?

We use a Skills Badge system. Students earn stickers for their "Official Trail Map" as they master specific levels of farming, trades, and survival. These are not just for attendance; they are awarded for demonstrating excellence, character, and the memorization of "Trail Marker" Scripture verses.

What is the "Gold Road to Restore Seal"?

This is the final milestone on a student’s certificate. To earn it, a student must demonstrate growth in three areas:

  1. Knowledge: Memorizing the mission and core Scripture verses.

  2. Character: Receiving a recommendation from a Mentor for showing resilience or honesty.

  3. Community: Completing four hours of service and mentoring a newer student in a "Seeker-level" skill.

What is the ultimate goal of the program?

We believe that by getting a child's hands in the soil and their heart in the Scripture, they learn to rely on the Creator. Our goal is for every student to "Rise" into their God-given purpose as a skilled homesteader and a faithful disciple.
