Zone 7: Community Garden

This is a place to nurture growth from the earth. The garden is a place for planting fruits, vegetables, and flowers. This natural, quiet place reminds us of our call to produce tangible fruit in our lives while blossoming into the fullness of our potential.​The children will learn practical agricultural skills surrounded by the metaphor of bearing fruit in the Christian life.​"You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them."​Matthew 7:16-20

There is always need for seeds, plants and tools. The typical annual cost to run the garden is $1,700. We have been able to produce over 8,000 lbs of fresh produce to give to the food insecure and many food pantries over the years.
